Viggo Johannessen

Viggo Johannessen (born 6 February 1936) is a Norwegian director.

He was born at Nøtterøy, Vestfold in 1936.[1] In 1963, he graduated from the University of Oslo with the cand.real. degree. From 1960–72, Johannessen worked as a scientist at Transportøkonomisk institutt, before he became the managing director of Linjegods in 1972.[1] In 1982, he became the managing director of the three Oslo Tramway and Metro operating companies Oslo Sporveier, Ekebergbanen and Holmenkolbanen.[2] In 1985, Johannessen left the director's office in favour of becoming the finance advicer of the Oslo Municipality. In 1991, he returned to Oslo Sporveier as special advicer, and in 1992 he became division director of the same company.[1]
